Elizabeth Awo Yaan

The transcending drive to feed the world through farming is the heartbeat of my passion.

I come from a family of 11 children, raised by a single parent struggling with poverty. As the youngest and the only one in my family to pursue formal education, I've witnessed and experienced the harsh realities of poverty firsthand. My journey began at the age of 13 when I enrolled in the Business program for Senior High School.

Upon completing high school, I faced financial constraints that prevented me from pursuing a university education. However, I didn't let this setback define my path. Instead, I seized an opportunity presented by my uncle, who provided me with a 2-acre plot of land. At the age of 20, I embarked on a journey into agriculture by starting a vegetable farm on that land.

In the year 2020, I took a significant step forward by founding YADEL CHAMPION, a farming and agro-processing company based in Ghana. Our focus is on cultivating and processing agricultural products such as Coconut Oil, Peanut Paste, and Ginger Mix. This venture represents my determination to overcome adversity and create opportunities not just for myself but also for my community.


I have dedicated the past 17 years of my career to the field of agriculture and agro-processing, driven by a profound desire to address critical issues such as food scarcity and unemployment. My business operates at the intersection of these challenges, aiming to make a positive impact on both fronts.

The core mission of my agriculture and agro-processing business is to contribute significantly to solving the problem of food scarcity by fostering sustainable farming practices and efficient processing methods. Through these efforts, we aim to not only ensure food security but also create employment opportunities within the agricultural sector.

At this juncture, I recognize the need to strengthen the branding and marketing aspects of my business. Effective branding and marketing strategies will help us reach a wider audience, build a strong brand identity, and showcase the value we bring to the agricultural and agro-processing landscape.

In essence, my business is a long-standing commitment to addressing critical issues through agriculture and agro-processing. By focusing on branding and marketing, we hope to amplify our impact and reach as we continue to work towards a more food-secure and economically stable future.
